ITV是英国电视法案于1954年通过后成立的第一批民营电视中的最大也最受欢迎的一个。就是Independent TV(独立电视台)的简称。超过8000个徒步爱好者或组织参与了投票,据说史上最大规模。配合该结果还有个风光人物纪录片《Britain’s Favorite Walks Top 100》,共2小时,前10名在最后半小时。最后10分钟是排名第二的威尔士最高峰Snowdon山路Llanberis Path,7条登顶路线中最长也最平缓的,而实拍人物是在1999年的登山事故中失去了双手和双脚的苏格兰登山家Jamie Andrew(1969年生),靠义肢和绑在残臂上的登山杖前行。他对这条路线的点评是:如果像我这样的人都能做到,那么任何人都能做到。
前10名5个在湖区,2个在北威。把部分都算上,我勉强走过24条,但只有一条刚好第十。有时间要去湖区住一个礼拜,争取走完那5条!
